About Me:
Tracey Caponera holds a Master’s Degree in Service Management from Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as being certified in Hospitality Sales through Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. She has an extensive background in hospitality operations and sales with Hyatt Hotels, Marriott, Sheraton as well as independent hotels and resorts.

Tracey served for five years as a senior faculty member and director of internship programs at a leading hotel and culinary college in the Adirondacks and is currently enjoying her 7th year as an Assistant Professor of Hospitality for SUNY Delhi. She began her SUNY Delhi career at the Schenectady off-site campus, and remains active with main campus events and committees.

Since moving to Rochester, Tracey has also become an adjunct faculty member for the Hospitality Department of Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College. Tracey has served on the Educational Committee of the Northeast NY Chapter of Meeting Professionals International and the Advisory Board for New England Culinary Institute. She has been a presenter at conferences for the Center for Teaching Excellence at Plattsburgh State and has presented workshops in Teaching Methods & Materials for SUNY Delhi.

Just recently, in addition to teaching, Tracey has also become a workshop speaker with Rochester Brainery and a marketing consultant and Concierge for a Country Club in Rochester, NY where she lives with her husband and her adorable little dog, Harley!
