Areas of Expertise: My area of expertise is biological aging, focused on rodent models. I study overall healthspan of rodents, primarily mice, examining age-related changes related to behavior, metabolism, and additional physiological markerss. I have also examined multiple biomarkers of aging, examining genetic influences and overall changes in recombinant inbred mice.

About Me: I received my BS from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002 with a degree in Animal Bioscience. I received my PhD in Biobehavioral Health also from the Pennsylvania State University. Following graduate school, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Barshop Institute of Longevity and Aging Studies at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where I studied biological aging. I arrived at SUNY Delhi in 2012, and have enjoyed teaching students science.
