About Me: Ms. Antoon has been a Registered Nurse since 1988. Professional experience includes medical surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, and critical care nursing. She obtained her MSN with a focus on Nursing Education from Southeastern Louisiana University after which she embarked on a teaching career in Registered Nursing programs. About Me:
Professor Eck earned a BA in Psychology from Western Connecticut State University, a BSN from the University of South Carolina, and an MSN from Duke University. Professor Eck joined SUNY Delhi in 2010. Before that, she was a faculty member at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC for over 10 years, where she remains a guest lecturer and clinical adjunct.

Professor Eck brings a wealth of experience to her teaching, with over 15 years in obstetrical and high-risk antepartum nursing, 12 years as a nurse educator, and 5 years as a psychiatric nurse. Professor Eck was the first state-wide Forensic Nurse Examiner Coordinator for SC, as well as being trained as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. She assembled and chaired the South Carolina Sexual Assault Protocol Task Force, which developed the first statewide protocol response guidelines for multi-disciplinary sexual assault care. Furthermore, she collaborated with the SC State Board of Nursing to have forensic nursing recognized as a specialty on the licensure renewal form.

She serves her community as a Girl Scout Leader for the Girl Scouts of the USA for the past 10 years and received the Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2012.

About Me: I have been a Registered Nurse over 20 years with a range of experience in mental health, dialysis, emergency and trauma and medical-surgical nursing. I am a certified Trauma Nurse and hold certifications in ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and Stroke Management. I have presented on Nurse Burnout in Critical Care Units at the Bassett Research Night. I am currently completing my Doctorate in Nursing Research and Education and am writing my dissertation on Childhood Obesity Prevention Policies in New York State.
