A NEW laboratory manual.
The following lab supplies (by the start of the second lab session):
Glass slides and coverslips
One depression slide
Lens paper
Wax marking pencil
Pressure sensitive tape (and a pen that will write on it).
Failure to have these items in lab will result in a 5 point deduction each time.
A lab coat, apron, or scrubs are recommended but not required for summer.
Your lab points are averaged in with your lecture points to determine your final grade in the course.
Lab points are as follows:
Description |
Points |
| Group Project and Report (Hand Washing) | 50 |
| Group Project and Report 2 (Phenol Coefficients) | 50 |
| Unknown Project (written report) | 100 |
| Staphylococcal Carrier Project (written report) | 100 |
| Laboratory Quiz | 50 |
|
Total = |
350 |
Lab briefings will be posted before lab -- sometimes twice a week.
Be sure to read this briefing. It is sometimes a good idea to print the briefing and include it in your lab notebook.
