        Dr. Douglas T. Dune is a professor of  Information Technology at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Delhi in the Department of Information Technology. Professor Dune was previously associated with  Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts,  Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio as well as the University of Zimbabwe. He spent over six years in the private sector, mainly in research and development of software for distributed systems. He continues to serve as an industry consultant of various organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science from West Coast University, and a Bachelor of Science from California, San Diego. Dr. Dune is a member of the Board of Directors of CADI Inc., he is also the board secretary. He is  a member of several university-wide committees including the university senate.

Teaching & Research

         Professor Dune teaches courses that include Introduction to Computer Programming (JAVA),  Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Database Concepts & Design, and Organizational & End-User Information Systems. Other courses he taught in the past  include Operating Systems Concepts and Design, Data Communication & Networking, Web Server Administration, Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, Automata, Languages & Computation, and Complexity Theory among others. His current research areas include Intelligent Systems in managed healthcare, Picture Archiving, Distributed Systems Standardization, and Supercomputing.
